Munchkin was born on my mother’s farm nearly 20 years ago. She was attacked by a coyote but not too badly injured. My mother asked if she could live with us. She has been our family companion since. Among her adventures, the capture and release of a squirrel (we used to take her outside), escaping through an open window on the second story and getting stuck under the deck, coping with our dog, becoming the best companion of the younger Calypso, our calico cat who misses her very much. Her purring was a deep musical accompaniment to our lives. I have never heard a cat purr with that volume.
